Russell Guinn

Russell is a second generation funeral director / embalmer. He grew up in Hondo, Texas helping his father in the family owned and operated Guinn-Horger Funeral Home. A 1974 graduate of Hondo High School, 1978 graduate of Southwest Texas State University, and a 1979 graduate of Commonwealth College of Mortuary Science. He is married to Dolores Guinn, also a funeral director with Tondre-Guinn, they have three children, Kristen Guinn (J.J.) Washam and Ashley Guinn (Aaron) Cooper, and Michael Guinn. They also have four grandchildren, Kendall Cooper, Ainsley Cooper, Evan Washam, and Ryan Washam. Russell has been a Funeral Director / Embalmer with Tondre-Guinn Funeral Home since 1980.

Dolores grew up in D'Hanis the youngest child of the late Melvin and Edna Weynand. She is a 1973 graduate of D'Hanis High School, a 1978 graduate of Southwest Texas State University, and a 1979 graduated of Commonwealth College of Mortuary Science. Ashley is a third generation Funeral Director with Tondre-Guinn Funeral Home. She is the second child of Russell and Dolores Guinn. Ashley graduate from Medina Valley High School in 2001. In 2002, she earned her Certificate in Funeral Directing from San Antonio College. Ashley married Aaron Cooper, formerly of D'Hanis, Texas, in 2004 and received her Funeral Directors License later that year. Aaron is also a licensed Funeral Director and Embalmer. Ashley and Aaron have two daughters, Kendall and Ainsley.

Aaron graduated from D'Hanis High School in 1999. In 2004, Aaron married Ashley Guinn. Aaron earned his Associate of Applied Science in Mortuary Science from San Antonio College in 2009. He is a licensed Funeral Director and Embalmer. Aaron and Ashley have two daughters, Kendall and Ainsley.

Paul Guinn

Paul is the oldest son of Bud and Jeannine Guinn. He graduated from Hondo High School in 1969, and after a tour with the U. S. Navy he returned home during the summer of 1984. After graduating from San Antonio College, Mortuary Science Department, Paul received his funeral director and embalmer’s license in 1989.
