William David Lowe, Jr., of Lytle, Texas, passed away July 30, 2026 at the age of 96. He was born December 21, 1929 in El Dorado, Arkansas, to William David Lowe, Sr. and Lela Graham Lowe.

William entered the United States Air Force after high school. He met and married his wife, Elizabeth Mary Oberleitner, who was also serving in the Air Force. They married on November 16, 1951 in Minden, Nevada. They were blessed with sixty-eight years of marriage at the time of her passing on July 29, 2020. William was a Korean War Veteran and retired from the Air Force in 1967 after serving over twenty years.

Survivors include his children, William D. Lowe III, Rhonda Gentry (David), Mark Lowe (Eulalia), and Matthew Lowe; eight grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

William was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Elizabeth Lowe; daughter, Sharon Ann Lowe; and son, Samuel Lowe.

Visitation will be Monday, August 10, 2026 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Tondre-Guinn Funeral Home. A Graveside Service with Full Military Honors will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, August 11, 2026 at Ft. Sam Houston National Cemetery in San Antonio, Texas. The funeral procession will depart from Tondre-Guinn Funeral Home at 9:30 a.m.
