Verna Berry Howell, 88, of Fort Worth, Texas died peacefully on August 2, 2022 at Freedom House, San Antonio, Texas.

She was born on January 22, 1934, to Joe S. Garrett and Pauline Conner Wilkinson in Mitchell County, Texas.

She married Robert Berry on January 1, 1952 and they had 4 children, infant Bruce Neal, Rona Bonn (Jeff), Debbie Kopetsky (Bobby), and James Berry (Deannie).

She worked as a clerk and office manager, retiring from the FAA in 1997.

She was an avid student of the Bible, learning and teaching all of her days.

Verna is survived by daughters, Rona and Debbie; 6 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; sister, Gloria Burba (Von); and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her beloved husband, Robert Berry of 50 years, 10 months, and 10 days; husband, Robert Howell; infant son, Bruce Neal; son, James Randall Berry; brother, Joe Garrett (Vada); and grandsons, Byron Berry and Tyler Fry.

Graveside services will be August 21, 2022 at Birdville Cemetery, Haltom City, Texas at 1:00 p.m.
