Urbano "Boonie" Botello, of Castroville, passed away on June 6, 2023 at the age of 51. He was born July 25, 1971 in Hondo, Texas to the late Frutoso Tomas Botello and Santos De Los Santos Botello.

Survivors include his brothers and sisters-in-law, Anastacio and Sylvia Botello of Castroville, Omero and Stella Botello of Elmendorf, Roberto and Pat Botello of La Coste, Armando and Sonia Botello of Conroe, Rudy and Cindy Botello of La Coste, and Jesse Botello of Castroville; sisters and brothers-in-law, Pauline and Richard Vallejo of Atascosa, Janie and Isidro Zavala of San Antonio, Josie Perales of Castroville, Sara Flores of Castroville, and Minerva Alvizo of Castroville; sister-in-law, Lucy Botello of Castroville; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives.

Boonie was preceded in death by his parents; his infant sister, Esmeralda Botello; his infant brother, Mario Botello; and his brother, Ismael Botello; and his brothers-in-law, Wesley Flores, Jesse Perales, and Jimmy Alvizo.

Visitation will be Wednesday, June 21, 2023 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Tondre-Guinn Funeral Home with the Holy Rosary recited at 5:30 p.m. The Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, June 22, 2023 at St. Louis Catholic Church. Interment will follow at St. Louis Catholic Cemetery in Castroville, Texas.
