Shirley Tondre Echtle, of La Coste, passed away on September 12, 2020 at the age of 78 years. She was born September 1, 1942 in Alice, Texas to Ervin A. Tondre, Sr. and Ruie Yates Tondre.

Survivors include her husband, Marvin Echtle of La Coste, TX; daughter, Bernie Keeling of Umpqua, Oregon; grandchildren, Amanda (Derek) Hicks of Carthage, Texas, Brandon (Bethany) Keeling of Marshall, Texas and Kevin (Kenzi) Keeling of Lake Charles, Louisiana; six great-grandchildren, Ashton, Caden, Emma, Kai, Kennedy and Myles; brother, Ervin Tondre, Jr.; sisters, Maxine Tondre and Ernestine Burell all of Castroville as well as numerous nieces and nephews

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ervin A. Tondre, Sr. and Ruie Yates Tondre Perkins; sisters, JoAnn Beard and Christine Tondre; brother, David Perkins.

Due to current limitations on social gatherings, A Memorial Service will be held at a later date

Memorials may be made in Shirley's memory to the Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church cemetery fund.
