Sandra Ann Lopez Salinas, of Atascosa, Texas, passed away May 23, 2025 at the age of 59. She was born November 23, 1965 in San Antonio, Texas, to Ruben Salas Lopez and Ernestina Castillo Lopez.

In 1984, Sandra graduated from Harlandale High School. She married Javier Salinas on November 27, 1992 at Our Lady of the Angels Catholic Church in San Antonio and they were blessed with thirty-three years of marriage and two children. Sandra was lucky enough to work for many years at a job that she loved as an Administrative Assistant for Southwest ISD. She was a valuable and honored staff member to all that had the privilege to work with her.

Survivors include her husband, Javier Salinas of Atascosa; children, Javier Salinas, Jr. (Nataly) of San Antonio and Lauren Castro (Danny) of Atascosa; grandchildren, Emily Salinas, Noah Salinas, and Danny Castro, Jr.; parents, Ruben and Ernestina Lopez of San Antonio; sisters, Norma Petre (Jason) of San Antonio and Veronica Bicklein (Royce) of San Antonio.

Sandra was a fiercely protective mother and beloved sister. She was lucky enough to marry a man devoted to her and making her happy. Though she left this world far sooner than we would have liked we are content in the knowledge that she is dancing with Jesus and pain free. We are blessed to have known and loved her, and she will be missed by us all.

The family asks that you join us in remembrance of the woman she was for The Holy Rosary recited at 11:00 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:30 a.m. on Monday, June 2, 2025 at Our Lady Queen of Heaven Catholic Church in Macdona, Texas. Following conclusion of the services, the family invites you to join them for a catered meal served in the parish hall honoring Sandra and all those who loved her.
