Ronny "Rodeo"
Shawn Brackman
Nov 19, 1965 — Jun 11, 2024
Castroville
Ronny "Rodeo" Shawn Brackman, 58, of Castroville, passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, June 11, 2024 in Castroville, TX. He was born November 11, 1965, in Sanford, Florida to Ronald William Brackman and Barbra Allen West. Ronny was the fourth child of Ron and Barbie. Ron, a proud Navy member, relocated the family every eighteen months to various bases over the south until they settled in Albany, Georgia.
Ronny followed in his father's footsteps and also joined the Navy after high school. After completion of his service, he went on to become a Journeyman Electrician. Ronny enjoyed anything outdoors. He spent time hunting, fishing, camping, and visiting the beaches whenever he could. He enjoyed it even more when he was hanging with his family, siblings, nieces, and nephews.
Ronny was the life of the party. His sense of humor was a gift to all he was connected too, bringing a smile to many faces. He was a kind and caring person for all he knew and loved. He spread laughter and jokes even through tough times. His unlimited selfless acts to others will always be remembered by those he touched throughout his life.
Ronny fell in love and married Sandra Hall Fussell on May 7, 1994. Ronny was blessed to be the stepfather to Hannah and Molly. He was a wonderful grandpa to Molly's two sons, Anthony and Aiden, who brought Ronny and the family great joy.
After the passing of his beloved wife, Ronny found great happiness with his beloved, Stacey Lea Buchanan, and her sons, David Amos and Ronnie Deihl. For the past ten years, the two enjoyed a quiet life with their fur babies (Darla Doo, Satin Lea Black, Blue Catfish, and Wall-E Rus) and traveled as often as they could north to see Ronny's family.
Ronny will be greatly missed by his beloved, Stacey Lea Buchanan; his daughters, Hannah Fussell and Molly Fussell; grandchildren, Aiden and Anthony Fussell; brother, Royal (Lori) Brackman; sister, Teaata (Fred) Peasall; nieces and nephews, Buck Brackman, Ashley (Isaac) Wasilefsky, Christopher Peasall, Melissa Peasall, and Adam Peasall; aunts, Jackie Michael and Terri Lynn Michael; cousins, Katie (Donny) Pfaff and Rocky Michael; and his best friend, Wilfred Scott "Scotty".
He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Loyd and Leah Brackman and RD and Katherine Michael; parents, Ron Brackman and Barbra Allen West; wife, Sandra Jean Hall Brackman; brother, Cory Dale Brackman; and his uncle, Terry Dale Michael.
