Richard Lawrence Baltes, of Natalia, passed away on December 8, 2021 at the age of 63. He was born April 28, 1958 in San Antonio, Texas to Walter Richard Baltes and Mary Geneva Munselle Baltes.

In 1976, Richard graduated from Edison High School in San Antonio. He received his BS from Southwest Texas State University, as well as four Master's Degrees from Naval War College. Richard served in the United States Air Force for over twenty years, retiring in 2007. After his retirement, he worked civil service at Kelly Air Force Base.

Survivors include his sons, Daniel Baltes, and Matthew Baltes bother of Natalia; sister, Suzette Marie Barshay of St. Louis, Missouri; aunts, Minnie Belhohlavek of Castroville, and Leona Wallace of Floresville.

Richard was preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Mary Baltes.

Visitation will be Wednesday, January 5, 2022 from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at Tondre-Guinn Funeral Home with Military Honors and a Memorial Service at 5:00 p.m. Services will conclude at the funeral home.
