Raymond E. "Boy" Ortiz, of Castroville, Texas passed away December 24, 2023 at the age of 73. Raymond was born September 13, 1950 in Natalia, Texas to Leonardo Ortiz and Delia Huron Ortiz.

Raymond married Eloisa Espinoza on November 17, 1990 in Hondo, Texas. For thirty-eight years, he worked for Universal Rundle.

Survivors include his wife, Eloisa Ortiz of Castroville; children, Randy A. Ortiz of D'Hanis, Michael Cisneros of Castroville, Pamela Cisneros of San Antonio, Monica Lerma (Stanley) of San Antonio, and Erica Camarillo (Raymond) of San Antonio; nine grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; mother, Delia Ortiz; brother, Howard Ortiz (Yolanda); sister, Marilyn DeLeon.

Raymond was preceded in death by his father, Leonardo Ortiz; infant daughter, Melissa Jeanette Ortiz; brother, Henry Ortiz; brother-in-law, Tony DeLeon.

Visitation will be Tuesday, January 2, 2024 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Tondre-Guinn Funeral Home in Castroville with the Holy Rosary recited at 5:30 p.m. The Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, January 3, 2024 at Holy Cross Catholic Church in D'Hanis, Texas. Interment will follow at San Francisco Cemetery in D'Hanis, Texas.
