Nicole Jean "Nicci" (Neufeld) Hlavka, age 56, went to be with our Lord on October 3, 2024, in Castroville, Texas. Nicci was born on February 20, 1968, in Pacifica, California to parents Jerry and Sharon Neufeld. In 1979, the family moved from California to Minnesota.

In 1986, Nicci graduated from Central High School in Duluth, Minnesota and served in the Minnesota Air National Guard. Nicci married Mark Hlavka, and they had four children, Caila, Noah, Madison, and Braeden.

Nicci became a Registered Nurse and fulfilled a career in nursing. She will be remembered for her jovial personality, smile, laugh and mastery of Swedish pancakes. She had unwavering love for her kids and grandkids. She was an avid equestrian and had a passion for animals.

Nicci was preceded in death by her parents, Jerry and Sharon Neufeld and her brother, Scott Neufeld.

She is survived by her sisters, Cynthia Neufeld, and Shelly (Phillip) Pascale; her children, Caila Sessler, Noah Hlavka, Madison Hlavka, and Braeden Hlavka; as well as grandchildren, Jeffrey, Jaidyn, Persephone, Olive, and Teagan.

Nicole's family will hold a private memorial in Medora, North Dakota, at a later date.
