Mike G. Perales of Castroville, Texas, passed away on March 22, 2023 at the age of 92. He was born December 26, 1930 in Castroville, Texas to the late Jesus Perales and Francisca Gomez Perales.

Mike served in the United States Army for almost two years. On February 25, 1958, Mike married Gloria Zepeda at St. Louis Catholic Church in Castroville, Texas. They were blessed with sixty years of marriage and seven children.

For twenty-years, Mike worked at Medina Valley Seed and Fertilizer. He served at a Reserve Deputy for four years, and then sixteen years as Medina County Constable Precinct #2. He retired at the age of 82 and was well known by many in Medina County and South Texas.

Survivors include his children, Velma Perales Mascorro, Sylvia Perales Hopkins, Mike A. Perales, Eugene Perales, Cynthia Perales McCulley (Art), Isabel Perales-DeHoyos, and Erika Perales all of Castroville; grandchildren, Manda Gonzales (Tony), Treasa Kennedy, Michelle Mascorro, Christopher Hopkins, Miguel Hopkins, A.J. McCulley (Jessica), D.J. McCulley, and Brandon DeHoyos; ten great-grandchildren; siblings, Valentina Zepeda Hanson of St. Paul, MN, Maria Zurita of San Antonio, and Norberto "Chon" Perales of San Antonio.

Mike was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Gloria Perales; siblings, Domingo Perales, Sr., Isaac "Billy" Perales, Sr., Benito Jimenez, and Eliseo "Taco" Jimenez.

Visitation will be Monday, March 27, 2023 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Tondre-Guinn Funeral Home. The Holy Rosary will be recited at 9:30 a.m. on Tuesday, March 28, 2023 at St. Louis Catholic Church. The Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10:00 a.m. Interment with military honors will follow at St. Louis Catholic Cemetery in Castroville, Texas.
