Matthew Wade Jackson, of Castroville, passed away on July 26, 2023 at the age of 41. He was born February 21, 1982 in Beeville, Texas to Arthur Leroy Jackson and Lynn Syring Jackson.

Matthew graduated from Uvalde High School in 2000. He earned his bachelor's degree in computer science from Texas A&M Kingsville. He worked as a Principal Application Architect at HMS-Gainwell. On December 20, 2008, Matthew married Bette Davis in Uvalde, Texas.

Matthew will be remembered for his love of all things technology, as he loved playing and creating video games. He was a gentle soul who loved to spend time at the lake and will be greatly missed by all those who knew him.

Survivors include his wife of fourteen years, Bette Jackson of Castroville; parents, Arthur and Lynn Jackson of Uvalde; brother and sister-in-law, Michael and Kyla Jackson of Greeley, CO; grandmother, Louella Syring; and mother-in-law, Gloria Davis.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 10:30 a.m. with visitation beginning at 9:00 a.m. on Friday, August 11, 2023 at Tondre-Guinn Funeral Home. Services will conclude at the funeral home.
