Mary Eunice
Wilson Draleau
Nov 4, 1942 — Aug 22, 2024
Castroville
It is with great sadness that the family of Mary Eunice Draleau (Wilson), aged 81, announces her peaceful passing at her home in Castroville, TX, on Thursday, August 22, 2024. She was born November 4, 1942 in Brighton, Massachusetts. She was a cherished member of her community and The Jesus Church of Castroville.
Mary's love for the outdoors often found her at the beach, cycling or kayaking. She loved her New England sports teams and NASCAR! She was known for her humor, her hearty laugh and an unwavering kind heart. Her love for children and animals were only surpassed by their love for her. Mary's faith and love for Jesus were utmost in her life. She leaves an indelible mark on all who knew and loved her. We're grateful for memories. She will be deeply missed.
Mary was preceded in death by her father, George Francis Wilson, her mother, Margretta Eugene Wilson (O'Neal), and her brother, George "Red" O'Neal. Her surviving family include her four brothers, Frank Wilson, his wife Debbie, William Wilson, Keith Wilson, his wife June and James Wilson. Mary was an active mother of five children, Edward Wilson his wife Tiffany, Laura Wilson, Nicole Draleaus, Eric Draleaus his wife Jennifer, and Wynita Dorais and her life partner Sam. Her joy was multiplied with 14 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild, as well as three generations of nieces and nephews and many friends.
At Mary's request, there will be a Celebration of Life on Tuesday, August 27, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. at The Jesus Church of Castroville, 2035 US Hwy 90 West, Castroville, TX 78009. Before she passed, she made it known she wants us all to share a laugh and praise God in celebration of her journey home.
Memorial arrangements are being taken care of by the Family and The Jesus Church of Castroville in Texas. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Mary's name to the Tupelo Children's Mansion (https://give.mansionkids.org/tribute).
