Martha Jean Sanders Castiglione, of La Coste, passed away on January 21, 2021 at the age of 91 years. She was born September 2, 1929 in Vernon, Texas to Alfred Paul Sanders and "Carrie" Catherine Julia Kahl Sanders.

Martha Jean married Vito "Vic" Fortunato Castiglione on June 8, 1947 in Von Ormy and together they had four children. They were blessed with sixty-four years of marriage at the time of his death in 2012.

Jean worked at Schott's Supermarket in the Butcher Shop for twenty-five years. She loved her job and all the wonderful people she worked with. If anyone needed specialty trays or parisa, they knew to call Jean. She loved animals of all kinds, but none more than her Precious.

Survivors include her children, Paul Alfred Castiglione (Kathy), Kathryn Dodson (Edgar), Anna Maria Castiglione, Charles Farrell; daughter-in-law, Dianne Castiglione; fifteen grandchildren; thirty-three great-grandchildren, and her baby "Precious".

Jean was preceded in death by her parents, Alfred P. and Carrie Sanders; husband, Vic Castiglione; son, Stephen Castiglione; daughter-in-law, Sue Farrell; sisters, Evelyn Burns and Juanita Seay (Henry); brother, Alfred Carrol Sanders.

Public Visitation will be Tuesday, January 26, 2021 from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Tondre-Guinn Funeral Home. The Mass of the Resurrection will be held on Wednesday, January 27, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Louis Catholic Church. Interment will follow at St. Louis Catholic Cemetery in Castroville, Texas.
