Martha Sue Carter Hoeke, of San Antonio, passed away on October 19, 2021 at the age of 83. She was born June 1, 1938 in Arkansas City, Kansas to John W. Carter and Blanche Lorah Carter.

She earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Medical Records from Texas Women's University.  Before retiring, Martha was a hospital medical records transcriber. She enjoyed sewing, writing, genealogy, and square dancing with her beloved husband, Bill.

Survivors include her sons and daughters-in-law, Lance and Julie Strosser of Farmington, Utah, Michael and Pam Strosser of Pipe Creek, Texas; daughter, Pamela Rae Strosser of Austin, Texas; grandchildren, Waylon Strosser (Rosa), Justin Strosser (Jennifer), Kaitlin Strosser, Tarin Strosser, Isaiah Strosser, Jasper Strosser, and Carter Strosser.

Martha was preceded in death by her parents; and her husband, William "Bill" H. Hoeke.

Visitation will be Monday, October 25, 2021 from 500 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Tondre-Guinn Funeral Home. A Graveside Service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, October 26, 2021 at the Comal Cemetery, 301 Peace Ave., New Braunfels, Texas.
