Manuel Garcia Guerra, 89 of Castroville, passed away on May 25, 2023. He was born July 6, 1933 in Los Ramones, Nuevo Leon, Mexico, one of thirteen children born to the late Pedro Guerra and Eulalia Garcia Guerra.

Survivors include his wife, Juana M. Guerra of Castroville; children and their spouses, Juana and Ernest Sanchez of Castroville, Jose and Minerva Guerra of Poteet, Eulalia and Samantha Guerra of San Antonio, Martin Guerra of Hondo, Mario and Martina Guerra of Houston, Javier Guerra of San Antonio, Jose Guerra of San Antonio, Elisabeth De La Garza of San Antonio, and Julio Guerra of Hondo; twenty-three grandchildren; twenty-five great-grandchildren; siblings, Adolfo Guerra, Pedro Guerra, Jose Guerra, Blanca Villareal, Julia Rios, and Maria Flores; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

Manuel was preceded in death by his parents; his brothers, Vidal Guerra, Juan Guerra, Francisco Guerra; and his sisters, Emma Lozano, Isidra Cruz, and Maria del Refugia Morroquin.

Visitation will be Wednesday, May 31, 2023 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Tondre-Guinn Funeral Home. The Funeral Service will be at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, June 1, 2023 at Tondre-Guinn Funeral Home. Interment will follow at the Castroville Community Cemetery in Castroville, Texas.
