Luis Cuellar, of Castroville, passed away on August 11, 2023 at the age of 69. He was born August 19, 1953 in Castroville, Texas to the late Silverio Cuellar, Sr. and Maria Cruz Aguilera Cuellar.

Survivors include his brothers, Silverio Cuellar, Jr., Teodore Cuellar, and Johnny Joe Cuellar; sisters and brother-in-law, Rose Mary Mascorro, Norverta and Frank Herrera, and Enedina Gonzales all of Castroville; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Luis was preceded in death by his parents; his brothers, Timotello Cuellar, Sr. and Jesus Cuellar; his sister, Maria "Gloria" Burell; and his brother-in-law, Amado 'Amos' Mascorro.

Visitation will be Thursday, August 17, 2023 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Tondre-Guinn Funeral Home. The Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, August 18, 2023 at St. Louis Catholic Church. Interment will follow at St. Louis Cemetery in Castroville, Texas.
