Lucy Adaline Abigail Wood, of San Antonio, passed away on August 4, 2023 at the age of 42. She was born August 9, 1980 in San Antonio, Texas to Janice Wood.

In 1998, Lucy graduated from John Jay High School. She attended the University of Texas at San Antonio and received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology in 2004. She began working at USAA in 2007 as a claims adjuster, and at the time of her death was a subrogation specialist. Lucy was a very kind and compassionate person who always wanted to help others.

Survivors include her wife, Shayla Prater of San Antonio; mother, Janice Wood of San Antonio; siblings, Brent Lopez of Austin, Patrick Lopez of Austin, Bianca Wood-Mehdi of San Antonio, Shenandoah Lopez of Houston, and Jerry Lopez of Houston; grandmother, Adaline Wood of Houston; as well as numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Lucy was preceded in death by her brother, Shawn "Kelly" Lopez.

Visitation will be Monday, August 14, 2023 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Tondre-Guinn Funeral Home. Services will conclude at the funeral home.
