Lucille (Sugie) May Reed Killough passed away December 29,2024 in her home in Utopia, Texas. She was born on July 3, 1928 in San Antonio, Texas to Henry William Reed and Clara Grace Brown Reed.

Lucille graduated from Edison High School. She worked at Lackland AFB base after World War II and then HB Zachary as a bookkeeper. She married Jack Clifton Killough in 1957 and the large family of seven moved to Utopia, Texas in 1971. Lucille worked for the Utopia School as the cafeteria manager for ten years and then worked for her son, Morris, at the Utopia General Store hardware department until she was in her late 70's.

Lucille was a gracious, kind, and highly respected lady to all who knew her. She was much loved and always surrounded by her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her siblings, Jack Reed, Henry William Reed, and Lillian Reed Porter; her husband, Jack Clifton Killough; son, Jack Killough Jr; and daughter, Janet Killough Journey.

She is survived by her son, Bruce Scheiber and wife Amy Bitter, daughter, Diane Killough Criss, son, Walter Travis Killough and wife Debbie Killough, and son, Morris Killough and wife Sydney; grandchildren, Allana Moreland, Jamie Killough Dube, Patrick Killough, Bruce Killough, Kassie Killough, Luke Killough, Chelsea Criss, Reed Criss, Grace Tindall, Sarah Journey Hutcherson, and Katie Scheiber; along with four step grandchildren.

A Graveside Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, January 9, 2025 at San Fernando Catholic Cemetery III, 1735 Cupples Road, San Antonio, Texas.
