Lorina May
Couse Delk
May 26, 1956 — Feb 27, 2023
San Antonio
Lorina May Delk passed away peacefully in her sleep at the age of 66 on February 27, 2023 after years of struggling with frontotemporal dementia.
Lorina, known to some by her childhood nickname Rinnie, was born May 26, 1956 in San Antonio, Texas to parents Clifford Glade Crouse (1922-2006) and Lorina May Banis Crouse (1924-2014). Soon after graduating from Burbank High School, Lorina joined the United States Air Force as a law enforcement specialist. She loved to share stories about the time she spent in Guam during her service where she learned to scuba dive. Described by many as a kind soul or little and sweet, she never met an enemy or a stranger and would give everything she had to help those she loved and cared for - family, friends, and co-workers.
Lorina is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Heather and Adam Keller, Sheila Delk, and Meaghan and Juan Arroyo; her son, Roger Delk; sisters, Patricia, Arvilla, and Daryce; as well as numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews. She was also a proud grandmother to ten beloved grandchildren.
Lorina was predeceased by her father, Clifford Glad Crouse; mother, Lorina May Banis Crouse; and siblings, Clifford, Anna, John Robert, Marilyn, and Richard.
Lorina would love to be remembered with funny, strange, or silly stories that celebrate what was good and blessed in her life. Her family will have a Graveside Service with Military Honors for her on Friday, March 31, 2023 at 10:30 a.m. at Ft. Sam Houston National Cemetery in San Antonio, Texas, Shelter #3. A lunch gathering will follow at Glory Bound Baptist Church. 14765 Donor Rd, Elmendorf, Texas 78112.
Flowers can be delivered to Glory Bound Baptist Church on March 31st between 10:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m.
