On December 19, 2022, Linda Kay Steele Perry of Castroville, Texas joined her Lord and Savior pain free in Heaven at the age of 82. She was born August 14, 1940 in Pampa, Texas to Aubrey Leroy Steele and Margaret Irby Eikner Steele.

In 1958, Linda graduated from Pampa High School. For many years she was an American History teacher at Medina Valley Middle School. She was a multi-generation teacher, with many family members being teachers for generations. When she retired from MVISD.

Survivors include her son, Matt Perry and his wife, Kara of Canadian, Texas; her daughter, Melissa Lomax and her husband, Kirk of San Antonio, Texas; also, her grandchildren, Paige Perry, Ashley Perry, Kyler McClendon, Konnar McClendon, Landon Lomax, Reagan Landon, Ryan Lomax, and Abby Lomax; as well as great-grandchildren, Kason Lomax and Kade Lomax. Other surviving relatives include her brother, Richard Steele, his wife, Jane of Pampa, Texas; and her niece, Ellen Steele Nedemeyer of Ft. Worth, Texas.

Linda was preceded in death by her parents, Aubrey Leroy Steele and Margaret Irby Eikner Steele as well as her nephew, Joshua Steele.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, December 29, 2022 at the Medina Valley United Methodist Church in Castroville, Texas. Services will conclude at the church.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Linda's memory to Doctors Without Borders, which she was very passionate about.
