Obituary

Katie Pearl (Little) Lott entered into heaven on November 18, 2024, one day shy of her 93rd birthday. She was born in Chattanooga, Oklahoma, on November 19, 1931, to Harold and Velma Little. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, John C. Lott, and her daughter-in-law, Carolyn Lott. She is survived by her sons, John (Beverly) Lott and Allen Lott; her grandchildren, Lauren (Bill) Shaw, Andy (Rachel) Lott, and Jessie-Anne Lott; and her great grandchildren, John and Thomas Lott.

As a young girl, Katie moved with her parents to Lytle, Texas, where she graduated from Lytle High School in 1947 and then worked at Lytle State Bank for several years. She married John C. Lott in 1950.

Katie was an extremely supportive wife, helping her husband grow a successful business (Lytle Feed and Seed) and assisting him in many community endeavors, including his serving as mayor of Lytle. She was a devoted mother and grandmother, encouraging her sons and grandchildren in their various pursuits. She was known for her congenial personality at their place of business and among the community as well as for her gift of hospitality. She and her husband were founding and active members of Trinity Baptist Church, until they moved to Houston in 2002 to be near family.

The family would like to thank the staff of The Tradition—Buffalo Speedway for their loving care during their mother's last several years.

A graveside service will take place at Lytle Masonic Cemetery on Tuesday, November 26, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. Visitation will take place afterwards at Trinity Baptist Church of Lytle at noon.

In lieu of flowers, friends are invited to donate to Trinity Baptist Church of Lytle or their favorite charity.
