Karen Lucille (Seipp) Kohlleppel

August 31, 1950 - January 10, 2026

Karen Lucille (Seipp) Kohlleppel of La Coste, Texas passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on January 10, 2025 at the age of 75. She was born August 31, 1950 in San Antonio to Milton and Evelyn (Glenney) Seipp.

Karen grew up on the Southeast side of San Antonio and graduated from Highlands High School in San Antonio, Texas. She later attended business school and worked at Alamo Music in downtown San Antonio before marrying Ralph Kohlleppel, Sr on January 25, 1975, at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church. Together, they were blessed with fifty years of marriage and nine children.

Karen enjoyed bowling in several leagues, including St. Cecilia's Ladies League, all while faithfully shuttling her nine children to countless activities over the years. She also found great joy in sewing quilts, blankets, and many other handmade gifts for her family and friends.

Survivors include her devoted husband of fifty years, Ralph Kohlleppel, Sr.; and their nine children: Regina Zinsmeyer (Anthony Jr.), Shelley Kohlleppel, MD, Ralph Kohlleppel, Jr. (Laura), Richard Kohlleppel (Sandi), Rachel Mendez (Jason), Charles Kohlleppel (Robin), Michael Kohlleppel (Katie), Thomas Kohlleppel (Roxanne), and Matthew Kohlleppel (Brooke). She is also survived by eighteen grandchildren.

She is further survived by her siblings, sister Kathleen Grams (the late Arthur) and brother Kevin Seipp (Gail), as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Karen was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Kenneth Seipp; and her sister, Kathryn Seipp.

A Memorial Rosary and Mass will be at 10:00 am on February 6, 2026 at Our Lady of Grace Church La Coste.
