Julia Evelyn Mueller was born on August 4, 1933 in Castroville, Texas. On July 18, 2021, Julia or Julie, known to everyone as "J.E.", passed on peacefully at the age of 87. As per her wish, there will be no service or funeral. She was laid to rest near her family at St. Louis Cemetery in Castroville, Texas

J.E. was well known throughout Castroville for her love of animals and consistent support of her friends in the community. She worked over thirty-five years as a telephone operator for AT&T. She resided her entire lifetime in Castroville, often working with her sister, Bobbie Haby. She had a love for cooking and worked with the St. Louis Catholic Church for decades, bringing food to funerals and weddings. Her greatest passion was her love of animals, as anyone who knew her could attest. Beyond her own animals, she was tireless in feeding and rescuing animals across the town, even into the last year of her life she would still drive out or walk to animals nearby to feed them.

She will truly be missed by her entire family and anyone fortunate enough to have known her. We hope she knew how many people in her life appreciated her and loved her.

Julia was one of six children born to Mary Alma Kenney and Julius Edward Mueller, who preceded her in death. She never married and was also preceded in death by her brothers, James Albert Mueller, Henry E. "Skip" Mueller, Robert J. Mueller; and her sisters, Marie C. Mahan and Annie Francis "Bobbie" Haby.
