Josefina Diaz Sauceda of Castroville, Texas went to be with the Lord, peacefully, at her home, surrounded and supported by her loving family on July 3, 2023. She was born in San Antonio, Texas on May 20, 1941.

On November 20, 1958, Josie married Basilio Sauceda Sr. of Hondo, Texas. They were blessed with seven children, nineteen grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren.

Josie's passions included her family, gardening, sewing, knitting, and cooking. She was so proud of her flower garden and wanted everyone to enjoy them as well. If you visited Josie at her house, she would walk you through her garden and point out all the different colors and types of plants. Josie left us with an appreciation for God's gift of nature. The most important thing in her life was her family, friends, and sharing her love for Christ.

Visitation will be Monday, July 10, 2023 from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Tondre-Guinn Funeral Home with Memory Sharing at 5:00 p.m. Funeral Service will be at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, July 11, 2023 at Tondre-Guinn Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Hondo Oakwood Cemetery in Hondo, Texas.
