John Michael "Mike" Kiesel, Jr., of San Antonio, Texas passed away in San Antonio on October 7, 2021 at the age of 67. He was born August 20, 1954 in San Antonio, Texas to John Michael Kiesel, Sr. and Diane Schultz Kiesel.

In 1972, Mike graduated from Robert E. Lee High School in San Antonio. He worked as an Electrical Contractor with several companies in San Antonio. Mike was an avid hunter and fisher his entire life, always eager to teach all he knew.

On February 18, 1986, Mike married Marianna Rant. They were blessed with twenty-five years of marriage and two children. Marianna passed away in 2011, on the same month and day as Mike's passing, October 7.

Survivors include his son and daughter-in-law, Jeremy and Roslyn Kiesel of Converse; daughter, Jennifer Kiesel of San Antonio; grandchild, Ash Emrys Kiesel; mother, Diane Kiesel of San Antonio; sisters and brothers-in-law, Linda and Rick Self of San Antonio, and Stephanie and Juan Castillo of Boerne.

Mike was preceded in death by his father, John Michael Kiesel, Sr.; and his wife, Marianna Kiesel.

A Graveside Service followed by Interment will be held Thursday, October 14, 2021 at 9:00 a.m. at the Zion Lutheran Cemetery in Castroville, Texas. Services will continue with a Memorial Service at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, October 14, 2021 at Concordia Lutheran Church, 16801 Huebner Road, San Antonio, Texas 78285.
