John Henry Brieden, Jr. of Hondo, passed away on November 2, 2023 in Hondo at the age of 62. He was born March 21, 1961 in San Antonio, Texas to the late John Henry Brieden, Sr. and Dorothy Lea Mumme Brieden.

In 1980, John graduated from Medina Valley High School. He worked as a welder and landscaper in Medina and Bexar Counties. His hobbies included hunting, fishing, and being outdoors.

Survivors include his children, Ashley Brieden (Ronnie) Rye, Richard (Amber) Brieden, and Rhyan Brieden; eight grandchildren; siblings, Harold (Joni) Brieden, De Ann (Mac) Qualls, and Janet (Dan) French; and several niece and nephews.

John was preceded in death by his parents, John Henry Brieden, Sr. and Dorothy Lea Mumme Brieden.

John's family will have a Memorial Celebration of Life on a future date.
