Joe Arnett Whittley of San Antonio, Texas, passed away in Castroville, Texas on July 17, 2021 at the age of 64. He was born August 11, 1956 in Harlingen, Texas, one of two sons of Theo Whittley and Betty Haby Whittley.

Survivors include his daughter, Tava Johnson of San Antonio; mother, Betty Haby Whittley Johnson of Castroville; grandchildren, Ciarda Johnson, Dominick Johnson and Zoren Johnson; great-grandson, William Dennis; and nieces, Angie Whittley and Bobbie Jo Higgs.

Joe was preceded in death by his son, Jeffrey Allen Whittley; father, Theo Whittley; stepfather, Roy Lee Johnson; and brother, Eddie Ray Whittley.

Visitation will be Thursday, July 22, 2021 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Tondre-Guinn Funeral Home. A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, July 23, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. at Tondre-Guinn Funeral Home, officiated by Pastor Dan Haby, Jr. Interment will follow at the Castroville Community Cemetery.
