Joe Manuel Lopez, Jr., of San Antonio, passed away on September 15, 2023 at the age of 43. He was born May 3, 1980 in Hollywood, California to Joe Manuel Lopez, Sr. and Olga Pizana Lopez.

Joe attended Medina Valley High School and participated in football, basketball, and track. He was currently working as a transit driver and handyman with Fiesta Transit. He loved his kids and was always trying to make others laugh. He lived freely with a youthful spirit and loved La Coste, where he was raised.

Survivors include his wife, Jennifer Sanpayo Lopez of San Antonio; children, Kayleigh Sanpayo, Adriana Lopez, Chloe Garza, and Christian Malloy; parents, Joe Sr. and Olga Lopez of Castroville; sister, Christel 'Lynda' Lopez (Pedro Vargas, Jr.) of San Antonio; brother, Matthew Lopez of Castroville; and his maternal grandfather, Fructoso Pizana.

Joe was preceded in death by his brother, Christopher Lee Lopez; maternal grandmother, Maria Montelongo; and his paternal grandparents, Plácido and Victoria Lopez.

Visitation will be Thursday, September 28, 2023 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Tondre-Guinn Funeral Home. A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, September 29, 2023 at The Gathering Church, 14670 Main Street, Lytle, Texas 78052. Interment will follow at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Cemetery in La Coste, Texas.
