Jose 'Joe' Alvarado, of San Antonio, Texas, passed away June 20, 2026 at the age of 72. He was born January 17, 1954 in San Antonio, Texas, to Reymundo Alvarado and Bertha Gonzales Alvarado.

Joe graduated from South San High School. He then joined the United States Navy at the age of 17.

Joe had a deep love for his family and friends and for all things Harley Davidson. He enjoyed cooking, traveling and watching movies.  Whether he was in the kitchen, working in the yard or anything else, Joe took pride in what he did.  His work ethic and generosity are things he passed down to his daughters.

Survivors include his daughters, Kayleen Quigley and Kortney Alvarado; son-in-law, Jonathan Quigley; grandchildren, Karlee, Delaney, Marissah, Aislinn, Meadow, Emerson, Finnigin, and Corey; along with the many members of his biker familia; and Goldie, his cat.

Joe was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Carla Ann Alvarado; and his sister, Maria "Mitch" Guadalupe Bocanegra.

Visitation will be Friday, July 10, 2026 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Tondre-Guinn Funeral Home. A Memorial Service will be held at a later date.
