Jerry Guinn of Castroville, passed away on March 19, 2023 at the age of 57. He was born December 28, 1965 in Jacksonville, Texas to the late John Boone Guinn and Glynda Romelle Davis Guinn.

In 1985, Jerry graduated from Jacksonville High School. He then attended the University of Texas at Tyler for both his Bachelor and Masters in Computer Science. Jerry worked for the Department of Defense for over twenty-six years. On January 1, 2000, Jerry married Shelly Lynn Arrington at Jacksonville, Texas. They were blessed with twenty-three years of marriage and three children.

Survivors include his wife, Shelly Guinn of Castroville; children, Sara Guinn, Zachary Guinn, and Jacob Guinn all of Castroville. His siblings are Jimmy Guinn, Vicki Turner, Lynda R. Foster (David), Patricia Ray, Suzzane Musick (Lonnie), and Tenna Walding (Phillip), and Wanda Guinn, sister-in-law.

Jerry was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Johnny Guinn; his sister, Becky Guinn and his brother-in-law, Jim Turner.

Visitation will begin at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 23, 2023 at the First Baptist Church of Castroville, 1408 Alsace Ave., Castroville, TX with a Memorial Service at 6:30 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held at Autry Funeral Home, 1025 SE Loop 456, Jacksonville, TX at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 25, 2023. Interment will follow at Union Grove Cemetery, 5537 Maydelle Hwy, Jacksonville, TX 75766.
