Jerome Paul Christilles of LaCoste passed away in San Antonio, Texas, on May 11, 2025, at the age of 67, with his brother Ernest by his side.  Born in San Antonio on December 26, 1957, he was the third of four sons born to Paul F. Christilles, Jr. and Joan Catherine Biediger Christilles.

A 1976 graduate of Medina Valley High School, Jerome attended Southwest Texas State University in San Marcos, where he earned a Bachelor's Degree in Theatre.  He moved to New York City where he lived and worked for several years before relocating to Lawrence, Kansas to pursue a Master's Degree at the University of Kansas.  When he returned to Texas in the late 1990s, he worked as a teacher's aide at Dilley and Natalia ISDs. Jerome lived with his mother, and when she fell ill, he cared for her for several years until her death in 2019.

Preceded in death by his parents, Jerome is survived by his three brothers and sisters-in-law, Dennis and Karen Christilles of Lawrence, Kansas, Ernest and Arlene Christilles of La Coste, Texas, and Warren and Miriam Christilles of Hondo, Texas; as well as by nephews Eric, Jason, Jacob, and Noah Christilles, nieces Ashley, Anastasia, Isabella, Sophia, and Franchesca Christilles, great-nieces Evelyn and Eleanor Christilles and great-nephew Blake Christilles. He is also survived by his beloved German Shepherd friends Angel and Carrie.

Visitation will be Tuesday, May 20, 2025 beginning at 9:00 a.m. at Tondre-Guinn Funeral Home, with the Funeral Service at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Cemetery in LaCoste, Texas.
