Jennifer Lee Basinger of Castroville, Texas, passed away July 4th, 2026, at the age of 58. Jennifer left behind a legacy of warmth, friendship and devotion for her family and friends.

Jennifer grew up on a ranch in Galt, California, with her mother, Marsha Everett; stepfather, "Big" John Everett; brother, John Stanton and lots of horses and dogs. She attended Oakview Elementary School and Galt High School in California. Jennifer's love of horses inspired her to train and compete on cutting horses, leading to a job working at the Herst Ranch in California for several years. After that, Jennifer went on to enjoy a 22-year career as a Southwest Airlines Flight Attendant, retiring at the end of 2023. In a jetway in Phoenix on October 2003, Jennifer met and eventually married SWA pilot Gregory Sean Basinger. They were married in Sacramento, California, and were blessed with close to 21 years of marriage.

Jennifer was a member of the First Baptist Church in Castroville; and she was a Lion Den leader for her son's Cub Scout den and a Troop 471 committee member. She was immensely proud of her two children, daughter Emma and son Jacob.

Survivors include her husband, Sean Basinger; children, Emma Basinger and Jacob Basinger; stepchildren, Bailey Basinger, Seth Basinger, and Jonathan Basinger; mother, Marsha Everett; and brother, John Stanton (Kelly).

Jennifer was preceded in death by her father, Stephen Stanton; and stepfather, John Everett.

Visitation will be Wednesday, July 29, 2026 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Tondre-Guinn Funeral Home, with a Celebration of Life at 5:30 p.m.
