Janie Hinojosa Olivares, of La Coste Texas, passed away September 24, 2026 at the age of 79. She was born March 24, 1947 in La Coste, Texas, to Ernesto Cuellar Hinojosa and Simona Saucedo Hinojosa.

Survivors include her son, Joseph Olivares of San Antonio; grandchildren, Joseph Cane Olivares and Ivory Maloney (Montgomery); great-grandchildren, Zavian Winslow and Cane Carter Olivares; siblings, Ernesto Hinojosa, Jr., Carrie Cortez (Pablo), Jesse Hinojosa (Janie), and Maria Hinojosa; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

Janie was preceded in death by her parents; and siblings Elijio Hinojosa (Mina), Angie Warner, Arturo Hinojosa (Connie), Maria Lopez, and Antonia Duron (Marcos).

Visitation will be Monday, October 12, 2026 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Tondre-Guinn Funeral Home, with the Holy Rosary recited at 5:30 p.m. The Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, October 13, 2026 at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church, La Coste. Interment will follow at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Cemetery in La Coste, Texas.
