Gina Eglantina Gallegos Willms, of Castroville, passed away at her home on December 19, 2023 at the age of 76. She was born January 20, 1947 in Laredo, Texas to Gabino and Maria Perez Gallegos.

In 1965, Gina graduated from Del Rio High School. She graduated from Incarnate Word University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Medical Technology in 1969. She was a Lab Administrator at Diabetes and Glandular Disease Clinic in San Antonio for over ten years. She was a member of Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church.

On June 8, 1969, Gina married Theodore "Ted" Gottlieb Willms, Jr. in Del Rio, Texas. They were married for over fifty-three years at the time of Ted's passing on September 12, 2022. Their marriage was blessed with two children, six grandchildren and two great-grandchildred.

Survivors include her son, Adam Willms of San Antonio; daughter and son-in-law, Michelle and David Luellen of Castroville; grandchildren, Katie Ramos, Austin Miller, Ezekiel Willms, Brendan Luellen, Blake Luellen, and Ezra Willms; great-grandchildren, Silas Luellen and Mila Churchill; brother, Guillermo Gallegos and several nieces and nephews.

Gina was preceded in death by her parents, Gabino and Maria Gallegos; husband, Theodore "Ted" Willms and brother, Victor Gallegos.

Visitation will be Monday, January 8, 2024 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Tondre-Guinn Funeral Home with the Holy Rosary recited at 5:30 p.m. The Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, January 9, 2024 at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church. Services on Tuesday will conclude at the church. Interment of her ashes will be on Wednesday, January 17, 2024 at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Cemetery.
