Georgie Holt Nuckles of Lakehills, passed away on May 21, 2022 at the age of 99. She was born September 19, 1922 in Angleton, Texas to Thomas Richard Holt and Ada Irene Mueller Holt.

On October 25, 1940, Georgie married Lawrence Dewey Nuckles in Sabinal, Texas. They were married for almost sixty-five years at the time of his passing in 2005.

Survivors include her five grandchildren, Lee Fabling (Bob), Dee McCready (David), Carolyn Nuckles (Hazel), Tom Nuckles (Cheryl), and Keith Lawler (Lyrka); nineteen great-grandchildren; twenty-three great-great-grandchildren; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Georgie was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Lt. Col. Lawrence D. Nuckles, U.S. Army ret.; son, Lt. Greg Nuckles (Pat Lawler); brothers, Ivers Holt, Cedric Holt, and Oscar L. Holt; sisters, Laura Holt, Faye Kins, Alice Tilton, and Mattie L. Stockton.

Visitation will be Friday, June 10, 2022 from 2:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Tondre-Guinn Funeral Home with a Memorial Service at 5:00 p.m. A Graveside Service will be at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, June 14, 2022 at Ft. Sam Houston National Cemetery in San Antonio, Texas.
