George Ortega, of Castroville, passed away on June 11, 2021 at the age of 61. He was born November 14, 1959 in San Antonio, Texas to Modesto G. Ortega and Josefa Montiel Ortega.

Survivors include his brothers, Modesto Ortega, Jr., Raymond Ortega and Alex Vasquez; sister, Estella Ortega; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.

George was preceded in death by his parents.

Visitation will be Monday, June 28, 2021 beginning at 9:00 a.m. with the Mass of the Resurrection at 10:00 a.m. at St. Louis Catholic Church. Interment will follow at St. Louis Catholic Cemetery in Castroville, Texas.
