Obituary

Gail Patrica (Huegele) Scheidt passed away on December 22, 2022 in Kennesaw, Georgia at the age of 82. She was born on June 5, 1940 in San Antonio, Texas.

The most important thing to Gail was her family. She was married to Dennis Carl Scheidt (deceased) for 62 years. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ferdie and Hilda Huegele; her brother, Charlie Huegele; and granddaughter, Samantha Rivero.

She was a devoted mother to six surviving children; Veronica Cook (Robert), Pamela LaGrone, Carl Scheidt (Valerie), Chuck Scheidt (Stacey), Connie Landry (Don), and Jill Scheidt (Jeff Barnett). Gail will be remembered by her surviving 11 grandchildren Russel Cook (Julia), Thomas Cook, Jean Cook, James LaGrone III, Katharine Scheidt, Kirk Scheidt (Sarah), Megan Hoffman (Ashton), Kayla Edwards, Waylon Scheidt, Alison Graham (Clayton), Mark Landry (Kasey), and Sedona Barnett. Gail was survived by 11 great-grandchildren; Jackson Cook, Ainsley Cook, Gavin Cook, Chandler Cook, Lacey Edwards, Denali Scheidt, Kirah Scheidt, Jackson Hoffman, Stephen Graham IV, Travis Graham, and Mitchell Landry.

Gail was generous with her time, treasures, and talents. Gail was loved by many parents, children, and coworkers as a childcare teacher, director, and district director. Many children also benefited from her dedication as a scout leader. She spent much of her time supporting her husband's hobbies. She loved living at San Geronimo Airport where she could be with her friends, take care of her plants, and watch the birds and raccoons eat the food she left for them.
