Florence Hitzfelder Becker of Macdona, Texas, passed away on May 16, 2022 in San Antonio, Texas at the age of 99. She was born February 7, 1923 in La Coste, Texas to Adolph Anton Hitzfelder and Pauline Wilhelmina Ahr Hitzfelder, one of seven children.

On November 18, 1941, Florence married Ferdinand Jason Becker at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church in La Coste. They were blessed with forty-six years of marriage at the time of his passing in 1988, and four daughters. Florence was a member of St. Ann's Altar Society at Our Lady Queen of Heaven Catholic Church in Macdona.

Survivors include her daughters and sons-in-law, Sharon and Ray Griggs of Castroville, Jacquelyn Bippert of Rio Medina, and Janet and Jimmy Franklin of Seguin; grandchildren, Debbi Gouard (Jimmy), Bekki Hans (Dennis), Troy Griggs (Christi), Derek Griggs (Deesa), Misti Kinnett (Mike), Tommy Bippert, Jason Bippert (Donna), Tyrone Bippert, Stephanie Bippert, Lesley Frazier (Kevin), Traie Franklin (Dawn), Tanya Franklin, and Kristyn Motes (Larry); twenty-nine great-grandchildren; fifteen great-great-grandchildren and one "on the way"; sisters, Mary 'Mac' Schott of Rio Medina, and Lillian Graff of Carrollton; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Florence was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ferdinand Becker; daughter, Cindy Becker Stein; great-granddaughter, Tori Wright-Bippert; son-in-law, Thomas Bippert; sisters, Amelia Hutzler (Alex), Ella Bohl (Edward), and Julia Tschirhart (Oscar); brother, Leo Hitzfelder (Anna Mae); and brothers-in-law, Joe Graff, and Wilton Schott.

Visitation will be Tuesday, May 24, 2022 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Tondre-Guinn Funeral Home. The Holy Rosary will be recited at 9:30 a.m. followed by the Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, May 25, 2022 at St. Louis Catholic Church in Castroville. Interment will follow at St. Louis Catholic Cemetery.
