Felix F. Fuentes, of Castroville, Texas, passed away on the anniversary of his mother's passing on May 14, 2026 at the age of 82. He was born October 19, 1943 in a historic home at the intersection of London St. and Isabella St. in Castroville, to Marcial Fuentes and Herminia Flores Fuentes.

His first job was at LM. Tondre and Sons store and at Tondre Funeral Home for Herbert Tondre. In 1970, when Herbert retired and sold to Bud Guinn, he continued working Tondre-Guinn Funeral Home. He also assisted on ambulance calls as that was a responsibility of the local funeral home in rural counties too. When the county assumed ambulance operations under AACOG in the 70's, he was among a group of volunteers that underwent training to become an EMT and provide emergency medical services. Felix worked in media distribution for AT&T for many years. When he retired from AT&T, was a mail truck driver for the USPS. He was a member of the St. Louis Men's Society.

On May 22, 1963, Felix married Dolores Vargas at St. Louis Catholic Church in Castroville. They were married for over sixty years at the time of her passing on March 31, 2024.

Survivors include his three sons, Michael Fuentes, Sr., Gregory Fuentes, and Marques Fuentes (Diahann) all of Castroville; grandchildren, Jessica Fuentes, Julia Fuentes, Caylie Fuentes, Emma Mae Fuentes, Michael Fuentes, Jr., Justine Fuentes, and Ryla Jon Fuentes; brother, Camilo Rodriguez of Castroville; sisters, Erlinda Garza of Castroville, and Eulalia Fuentes of Des Moines, Iowa; as well as numerous other relatives.

Felix was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Dolores Fuentes; infant son, Guadalupe Fuentes; and sister, Maria Luisa Fuentes.

Visitation will be Tuesday, June 2, 2026 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Tondre-Guinn Funeral Home, with the Holy Rosary recited at 5:30 p.m. The Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, June 3, 2026 at St. Louis Catholic Church. Interment will follow at St. Louis Catholic Cemetery in Castroville, Texas.

Memorials may be made in Felix's memory to St. Louis Catholic School.
