Obituary

Evelyn May Sharp was born in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin on February 23, 1928 to Bert and Hazel Puddy.  Mom was the youngest of three children.  After high school, mom went to work for the Department of Defense.  She was assigned to positions in Washington DC, Tokyo, Japan and Guam.  She met and married our dad Jerry in Guam.  They were married 64 years.

Mom loved to travel, to be with family and friends and to volunteer her services.  She was a life - time member of Weight Watchers, the Red Cross 100 Gallon Club and was awarded a Proclamation by President Clinton for over 1000 hours of volunteer work at the hospital and with the Special Needs population in Fort Bend County, Houston.

Mom was a kick!  She was easy to talk to, never shy in giving you her opinion.  If you were not paying attention to her advice, she would frog you on your arm, which then would be useless for at least an hour.   She loved to dance and sing.  She loved throwing a party, some of which would continue into the next day.

Mom loved her family and we all loved her.  She will be missed so very much!  Mom was ready to go. She prayed every night that God would take her in her sleep.  God heard her prayer.
