Evangeline "Sissy" Rosemary Kempf Bippert of San Antonio, passed away at her home on December 3, 2022 at the age of 91. She was born February 28, 1931 in Castroville, Texas to Ulrich Benjamin Kempf and Florence Theresa Conrad Kempf.

Sissy graduated from St. Louis High in 1949. On May 15, 1951, she married Delvin John Bippert at St. Louis Catholic Church in Castroville. They were blessed with fifty-five years of marriage and seven children. She was a lifelong member of St. Louis Catholic Church and a member of St. Ann's Altar Society for seventy-one years. She and Delvin were well known for the pecans they shelled and sold to customers in the area. After Delvin passed away on September 12, 2006, Sissy continued to keep customers supplied with pecans for several more years.

Survivors include her children, Gwendolyn Taylor of Castroville, Charmaine Youngman of New Braunfels, Mary Uresti (Jesse) of Von Ormy, Melissa Kwapich (Michael) of Castroville, Rita Copp (Michael) of Castroville, and Darryl Bippert (Mary) of San Antonio; sixteen grandchildren; nineteen great-grandchildren; sister, Janice Haby of Castroville; sister-in-law, Sylvia "Susie" Kempf of Castroville; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, in-laws, and other relatives.

Sissy was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Delvin Bippert; son, Timothy Bippert; sons-in-law, Mike Taylor and Robert Youngman; brother, Gilbert Kempf; and brother-in-law, Stephen Haby.

Visitation will be Thursday, December 8, 2022 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Tondre-Guinn Funeral Home with the Holy Rosary recited at 5:30 p.m. The Mass of Christian Burial will be at 9:30 a.m. on Friday, December 9, 2022 at St. Louis Catholic Church. Entombment will follow at St. Louis Catholic Cemetery Garden Mausoleum in Castroville, Texas.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Sissy's memory to St. Louis Catholic School or the charity of your choice.
