Eustolio C. Vega was born on September 19, 1933 and was called to his Lord on August 18, 2023. He lived a full life that was full of life. Everywhere he went joy and laughter was ever present.

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Olga; his parents, Jose and Juanita Vega; brothers, Antonio (Lola) and Jose (Guadalupe); sisters, Auxilia Flores (Exiquio), Maria de la Luz Flores (Daniel), and Andrea Pena (Osvaldo).

He survived by his wife of almost 65 years, Guadalupe; and his three children, Theresa Rodriguez (Robert), Jesse Vega (Alma), and Ruth Vega Spadafore; sister-in-law, Beatrice Resendez (Antonio); brothers-in-law, Francisco Zepeda (Lisa) and Jesse Zepeda. He had 7 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, and numerous nephews and nieces that he loved so much.

Eustolio was an active parishioner of Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church and was a member of the Guadalupanos and Knights of Columbus organizations. He will be missed by all who knew him because Eustolio would take time to talk to whoever walked up to him. He taught his children by example of how we should take time to care about others and to never be in so much of a hurry to not spend a few minutes talking with friends or strangers.

Eustolio's family would like to thank all who have thought of his passing, shared how they loved to be around him, how he made them laugh, and have added him to their prayers.

Visitation will be Thursday, August 31, 2023 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Tondre-Guinn Funeral Home with the Holy Rosary recited at 5:30 p.m. The Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, September 1, 2023 at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church in La Coste. Interment with military honors will follow at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Cemetery in La Coste, Texas.
