Elroy Wilbur Beck, of Mico, passed away on December 22, 2021 at the age of 92. He was born December 1, 1929 in Rio Medina, Texas to Ralph Reinhart Beck and Selma Marie Haby Beck.

Elroy served four years in the United States Air Force and three years in the Air Force Reserves. He then went to work for Sinclair Oil Company and retired as an assistant terminal superintendent. Elroy was a member of St. Louis Society for 68 years, Quihi Gun Club and Weiss-Wurzbach American Legion Post 460.

On July 18, 1953, Elroy married Claudia Lois Rihn at St. Louis Catholic Church in Castroville. They were blessed with sixty-four years of marriage at the time of Claudia's death.

Survivors include his sons, Burnell Beck (Barbara) of Hondo, and Joseph Beck (Dana) of Castroville; grandchildren, Jason Beck (Lindsey) and Jarrett Beck (Joy); great-grandchildren, Hailey Beck, and Logan Beck; brothers, David Beck (JoAnn), and Nelis Beck (Jacqueline); sister, Inell Schuchart; sister-in-law, Connie Balmos; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Elroy was preceded in death by his parents, Ralph and Selma Beck; wife, Claudia Beck; in-laws, Beatrice Rihn, Lillian Ducos (John), Burnell Rihn, James Rihn, Maurice Rihn, and Millard Schuchart.

Visitation will be Wednesday, December 29, 2021 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Tondre-Guinn Funeral Home with the Holy Rosary recited at 6:00 p.m. The Mass of the Resurrection will be at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, December 30, 2021 at St. Louis Catholic Church. Entombment with Military Honors will follow at St. Louis Catholic Cemetery Garden Mausoleum in Castroville, Texas.
