Elena Gomez Hatfield, of Castroville, passed away on September 17, 2021 at the age of 62. She was born April 3, 1959 in Artesia, New Mexico to Valentin Gomez and Anastacia Gallegos Gomez.

In 1977, Elena graduated from Artesia High School in Artesia, New Mexico. She worked as a general manager for Pumphouse Car Washes for over twenty-eight years.

Survivors include her sons, Jeremy Hatfield (Danielle) of Killeen, and Zachary Hatfield of Castroville; grandchildren, Chloe Hatfield, Chevelle Hatfield, and Cheyne Hatfield; siblings, Virgie Perez, Joe Gomez, Lucy Moreno (Alfredo), Hector Gomez, and Nina Gomez; numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

Elena was preceded in death by her parents, Valentin and Anastacia Gomez; her infant grandson, Barren Hatfield; her sister, Maria Gomez; her infant brother, Valentin Gomez, Jr.; and her brother-in-law, Pete Perez.

Visitation will be Thursday, September 23, 2021 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Tondre-Guinn Funeral Home. A Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, September 24, 2021 at Tondre-Guinn Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Castroville Community Cemetery in Castroville, Texas.

Pallbearers are Alan Bohlen, Javier Perez, Ralph Jacobs, Albert Lopez, Pedro Perez, Jr., and Isaac Jacobs. Honorary Pallbearers are all Pumphouse Employees.
