Eilleen Marie Stein Koerlin, of Castroville, Texas, passed away April 28, 2026 at the age of 96. She was born November 6, 1929 in Rio Medina, Texas, to Alfred Joseph Stein and Elvie Bertha Haby Stein.

Survivors include her siblings, A. J. Stein (Arline), Alfrene Tschirhart, and Glennis Stein; sisters-in-law, Marilyn Stein and Patricia Stein; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

Eilleen was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Lester Koerlin; siblings, Harvey Stein (Gladys), Allen Stein (Janie), Sylvan Stein, and Harold Stein, Sr.; and brother-in-law, William T. "Billy" Tschirhart, Sr.

The Holy Rosary will be recited at 10:00 a.m. followed by the Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, May 12, 2026 at St. Louis Catholic Church. Interment will follow at St. Louis Catholic Cemetery in Castroville, Texas.

Memorials may be made in Eilleen's memory to St. Louis Catholic School, Blessed Father Moye Catholic School, or to the charity of your choice.
