Dorothy Wanda Neely of Castroville, Texas went home to be with her Lord April 18, 2024 surrounded by her loving family.

Wanda was born in Holtville, California January 22, 1938. She loved her family with all of her heart. Her door was always open for a visit on the back porch overlooking "The Plantation" with a glass of sweet iced tea. Life always seemed to roll at a different pace when sitting with her on the back porch.

She fell in love and married her high school sweetheart Chester Neely in 1955. Our mother was a kind, caring and giving person who always put the needs of her family before her own. She was a strong woman who faced every challenge in her life with courage and dignity. Our mother was a source of inspiration to us all and she will be deeply missed by everyone whose lives she touched.

Wanda was preceded in death by her loving husband, Chester Neely and her parents, Paul and Katherine Redden.

She is survived by her daughters, Cynthia (Bruce) Gann and Sally (Kevin) Waechter; grandchildren, Samantha, David, Christopher, Melissa, Megan, Taylor, and McKenzie; great-grandchildren, Teara, Caylin, Madison, Olivia, Eli, Mason, Avery, Myles, Jaxon, Valentino, Lucas, Isabella, Mila, Briggs, Evelyn, and Emery; and great-great-grandchild, Nadene.
