Doris Maureen Coughlin McDaniel, ago 90 of Castroville, passed away on January 12, 2019 in San Antonio. She was born January 21, 1928 in Lordsburg, New Mexico to John J. Coughlin and Bertha Bleauvelt Coughlin.

Doris graduated with a master's degree in education from the University of Washington. She taught public school for over twenty years and retired in El Paso. Doris moved to Castroville fourteen years ago.

Survivors include her daughters and sons-in-law, Nancy and David Platzer of Centralia, Washington, Miriam and Bob Dean of Castroville; grandchildren, Steven, Amy, Crystal and Tanya; great grandchildren, Zoey, Taryn, J.D. and David.

Doris was preceded in death by her parents, John and Bertha Coughlin; husband, Dr. A.H. McDaniel; son, Archie McDaniel, Jr.; brother, Marshall Coughlin and sister, Idalyn Coughlin.

Visitation will be Monday, January 21, 2019 from 9:00 a.m. to 9:45 a.m. at Tondre-Guinn Funeral Home. A Graveside Service and Interment will be held at 10:00 a.m. at St. Louis Catholic Cemetery.
