Diane Hortensia Schultz Kiesel, of Boerne, passed away November 21, 2024 at the age of 95. She was born April 12, 1929 in San Antonio, Texas to Henry Karl Schultz and Frieda Alma Winkler Schultz.

During her working years she worked for Southwestern Bell, and was also a secretary at Concordia Lutheran Church as well as Ernst and Ernst Accounting Firm.

Survivors include her daughters and sons-in-law, Linda and James "Rick" Self of Fair Oaks Ranch, Stephanie and Juan Castillo of Boerne; grandchildren, Josh Self (Amy Pratt), Kyle Self (Candace), Jeremy Kiesel, Jennifer Kiesel (Michael Ely), Thomas Hildebrand (Aimee) and Taylor Castillo; great grandchildren, Justus, Cullen and Cambria Self, Ash Kiesel, Chelsea, Jacob and James Hildebrand.

Diane was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, John Michael Kiesel, Sr.; and her son, John "Mike" Kiesel, Jr.

Graveside Service and Interment will be held on Tuesday, November 26, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. at Zion Lutheran Cemetery in Castroville, Texas, followed by a Celebration of Life at 4:00 p.m. that afternoon at Concordia Lutheran Church, 16801 Huebner Road, San Antonio, Texas 78258. The Celebration of Life will be live streamed at www.concordia.cc
