Diana Rymers Lara was born on November 22, 1957 in Castroville, Texas. She was surrounded by her loving family at her home in Castroville when she was called to Heaven on August 17, 2021 at the age of 63. Diana was one of nine children born to Saturino and Evarista Aguirre Rymers.

On February 14, 2004, Diana married Jose Lara in Hondo, Texas. Diana's favorite "job" was being a grandmother. She loved being "Nana" to her three precious grandchildren. She was an excellent cook and worked at Larry's Restaurant, Castroville Dairy Queen, Medina Valley High School, as well as Medina Valley Health and Rehabilitation Center. Diana also worked as a greeter at Wal-Mart in Hondo and was a childcare giver at a daycare center.

Survivors include husband of seventeen years, Jose Lara of Castroville; daughters, Eva Marie Hernandez and Francesca Lee Hernandez both of Castroville; grandchildren, Matthew James Reza, Gloria Nicole Ponce and Diana Eva Ybarra; brothers, Saturino "Sony" Rymers, Jr. of San Antonio, Raymond Rymers of Castroville and Fritz "Johnny" Rymers of Castroville; sister, Rachel Flores (Ruben) of San Antonio; in-laws, Mary Helen Rymers of Castroville and Abel H. Reyes of Castroville; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Diana was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Gloria Pimental and Catarina Reyes; brother, Ambrose "Butch" Rymers and an infant brother Fritz Rymers.

Visitation will be Monday, August 23, 2021 from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Tondre-Guinn Funeral Home with the Holy Rosary recited at 6:00 p.m. The Mass of the Resurrection will be at 10:00 a.m. on August 24, 2021 at St. Louis Catholic Church. Interment will be at a later at St. Louis Catholic Cemetery.
